I can easily suspend my disbelief on why we the player get resurrected when we die because its a game. Your mention of the resurrected dead made me wonder, will there be Forsaken and Undead in Shadowlands? Now they serve death machine. I still feel like, narratively speaking, it's a little lame that 99.99% of the existence of all mortal beings is in the shadowlands, which seems to be its own universe separate from Warcraft (in terms of everything previously established). This subreddit is for discussions about the lore of Warcraft! I really don't like what I've seen of Shadowlands from a narrative point of view but I find it hard to describe my doubts. There's countless little nit - picks like this one could explore, but as the OP points out, the "larger" implications and ideas, just the entire concept of death now, are also kind of hard to wrap your head around, in terms of how you should view sacrifice, heroism, villains and finality. Most probably the shadowlands we go to are just the ones that are "closer" to azeroth. There are others. Source + Image Source: Reddit Capping the Flag in Literally 10 Seconds. This is not cool, but i guess we just have to deal with that. The ones we know didn't actually die, only the first titan Sargaeras discovered and Argus.
